Oh you meant an interview!
What? No! I don’t mean an interview. I meant I saw the video clip for Let’s Put The X In Sex!
Sheesh.

The only songs I really like from Kiss are “I Love It Loud”, “I Still Love You”, and gulp “Let’s Put The X In Sex.”
The last of those is more of a guilty pleasure, but the other two I like because they don’t sound like typical Kiss. Both are off of the album Creatures Of The Night, the first with Vinnie Vincent. That might be the only Kiss album I ever listen to in full when I get around to it.
As for why I posted this video, it went pretty good with Gunnar’s talk about cd’s ruining the record industry in the Jesu thread, which I never really had thought of cd’s having that kind of an impact, but it makes hella sense. I don’t totally agree with the idea of fans killing the industry, but I do see where he’s coming from on it. I 100% agree with the whole rock stars not being rock stars anymore. Very few people don’t have that presence on stage anymore. Last person I got that vibe from was Groovie Mann of the TKK, and that’s become part of why I speak so highly of the band nowadays. He even did have a bit of the asshole side of being a rock star backstage after the show, but it comes with the territory. Raymond Watts also gave me that vibe, but the whole asshole thing was probably because he was missing his children and trying to kick heroin So that’s what, 2 singers in the last 10 years? Not to mention they’re not what I would consider to be mainstream artists, and probably not rich enough to show off mansions and nice ass cars.
Part of my point here is that I think you can be a rock star without showing off. However, I do miss seeing videos like some of the ones hair bands used to make being surrounded by women and shit like that. Showing off shit like that definitely makes you look cooler, and it’d be nice to see some of that in mainstream rock again. So if rock stars becoming normal people helped kill the record industry, then look no further than the Grunge movement to blame.

Wow. So much for:
100,000 Years
She
C’mon And Love Me
Parasite
Black Diamond
Goin’ Blind
Strangeways
Strutter
I Stole Your Love
Detroit Rock City
Watchin’ You’
Christine Sixteen
King Of The Night Time World
Do You Love Me?
Yep. So much for all of those.
All I need is “I Love It Loud” and “God of Thunder”.
All I need is the Ace Frehley solo album…great music to do a bunch of coke and crash your car to…
GOIN BLIND IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVAH.
Hotter than hell is a fucking brilliant album. Ace Frehley was the fucking shit. Once he left, it was fucking over.
Also, taking off the make up wasn’t the biggest misstep in Kiss’ history.
Allowing the DEMON to cry was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7ofrdBdJRM
Featuring Eric Carr in the relatively short lived Fox makeup.

That it is. That it is.

Hey. I liked that song. I remember watching it on Solid Gold when I was about 10 or something.
Yep, it all ended when the make up came off.
They’re almost as bad as Ministry now.
