No, national radio. Actually Public radio. Public service at his best!
It was a show with more alternative music. they played lots of different stuff. I recorded Nursing Home in my k7 recorder!

Not my favorite Ministry album, but still quite good. “Eureka Pile” “Kaif” and “Happy Dust” are all perfect to me.
Dug this album the day it came out but damn that fat chick. Favorite tracks are Eureka Pile and Step. Eureka Pile is a sick, fucking track and it always stood out for me from the rest. That plodding bass line, that little guitar sample, the background noise, it all works for me. Chugs along nicely. Step has a humor about it that separates it from other tracks and I like the awkward structure and guitar work.
Eureka Pile is awesome but for me Nursing Home OWNS that album.

Eureka Pile and Nursing home are the best two on the album. I think Nursing home is a tad too long which keeps it from being #1 but that Bass line is GOLD!! I love the sound of Eureka Pile and the atmosphere that it creates the lyrics are great.

Best tracks are undoubtedly “Supermanic Soul,” “Whip and Chain,” “Bad Blood,” “Eureka Pile,” “Step,” “Nursing Home,” “Kaif,” “Vex & Siolence,” “10/10,” and “Linda Summertime.”
Seriously, though. This whole damned record is bliss. Throw on “Happy Dust,” “What About Us?” and “Supernaut” for kicks.

i do that sometimes too, xcept supernaut, it’s just not dsots sound
What About Us feels more like Animositinsomnia to me. That album is perfect the way it is except for the fact that the extended version of Step shouldve been on there
indeed it is, because early version of lockbox instrumental can be heard in AI movie as well
Yeah that part when one of the robots is getting torchered. I always wondered what that song was. Kinda wish the What About Us vid made it onto Tapes Of Wrath but Idk when Tapes came out.
I know I keep mentioning this extended version of Step, so heres a link to it:

But it’s got…

Seriously, in a perfect world, THIS would be the tracklisting for DSOTS:
Disc One:
What About Us?
Supermanic Soul (original version with that “Take this and, uh, dance” sample)
Whip and Chain
Bad Blood (something along the lines of the tweaked version on Rantology)
Eureka Pile
Step (Extended)
Nursing Home (Extended)
Kaif
Vex & Siolence
10/10
Happy Dust
Supernaut (How can the mother of all drugged-out anthems not fit on this beast?)
Linda Summertime
Disc Two:
The original scrapped “ambient” stuff.
…
Hey, a guy can dream.
10/10 was perfect for closing it imo. I’d sneak Happy Dust somewhere around Step. Think i’m going to have to crank this one up today. Odd that i’ve been listening to this and Filth Pig more than even LORAH lately?
Linda Summertime
one of the worst ministry hidden tracks, up there with “sgt major” shit on rio grande…
“Linda Summertime” is funny. Seriously, people need to lighten up. It’s just a bizarre fucked up druggie recording, not something to be taken seriously. It’s a good hidden track. Really unexpected the first time around.
Linda Summertime was a serious wtf moment. I think it’s amusing though in odd way.
Linda Summertime is not a proper song and shouldn’t be treated as one. It’s just a piece thrown in at the end for a laugh. The music ends with 10/10.
I should’ve asked Barker, when I met him, what that song was all about.

Supermanic Soul is a good intro to the album and I can agree on the version w/ the samples. I can also agree on th rantology version of Bad Blood and obviously Step (extended). As for what I dont agree with: Nursing Home is long enough. Happy Dust would have to go on disc 2, though I’d love to experiment on where it would actually fit on the album. Definatly not as an intro or at the end. And Supernaut wouldn’t fit anywhere on this album…
However, theres always disc 3: CLITOURUS! Which I’m sure would have a live version of Supernaut as the album’s closer. And of course I’m still interested on what Dark Side trax would make it on there. It’d also be good to get Jesus Built My Hotrod and the aforementioned Supernaut on there. Wait a minute! Let me look at the setlists for the tour…
jbmhr never sounded good live
