Cover Up leaked

We are fucked.
FUCKED.

peace)

and the album is bad… god damn it’s just boggles my mind.

 • Edited for television *

I’m scared to even get it…and I just upgraded to cable internet today…guess I have to get it…test my speed and all…cough. Guess i’ll get it now.

EDIT: What the hell? First track, I began thinking “did I get the wrong file or something?”: NOPE, it’s the right thing. “It’s a Wonderful World”…not sure what to say about that one. And wasn’t there supposed to be a beatles’ cover on there? What happened with that? The greater of two yokos, perhaps?

I like Al’s backing vocals. I don’t really like the original and this one twists enough for me to like it. Has a Cocked & Loaded sound to it.

Heard this tune a few times (not the biggest DP fan) and this version is progressive and repetitive; sounded okay to me. Victor does a very good job on vocals! He even pulls off an Ian scream which Ian would do in his early years of DP & the Sabbath tour as well.

yeah… where’s the beatles cover?

i didnt DL it, and i wont, i wanna buy it, but is it possible that they didnt leak the whole thing on purpose?

like how Type O leaked their last album, Dead Again, with annoying voice overs, and with parts cut out?

Doesnt sound like it.
Besides, last few albums were all leaked in their final form…

BTW - I agree - listen to LOA

Has Mrs J used her l33t h4x0r skills to determine who leaked it?

Well…Supernaut is good.

What a Wonderful World is the most embarrassing thing Al’s ever put to tape. To make matters worse, he splits the song in two, and tacks them onto the next two tracks. Basically, we get 3 tracks of the same bad song, 3 previously released songs, and 7 indistinguishable butt rock nightmares. It’s exactly how I imagined it.

‘Are you sure you want to send these 14 items to the Recycle Bin?’

Yes.

1002

[#ffffff]…Fucked.[/#ffffff]

It’s been seen on alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.gothic-industrial - a blast from the past posted the album there: Rodent.

Fucked. Up. Evil.

Breakbeat loops and butt-rock… NO. Just… no.
The same track on the album TWICE… God help us all.
“George W. Bush has pasty white thighs… Don’t want one of them stigmatas… Woo?”

…FUCKED, I tell you.

Best tracks:

“Under My Thumb” (Because it psyched me out into thinking Al remembered the old RevCo days)
“Supernaut” (I know…)
“Lay Lady Lay” (I KNOW… HARSH…)

Al Jourgensen has officially ruined Valentine’s Day for me.
I hate everything that has ever existed.

I never liked any cover made by Ministry anyway, never!

I love FP but skip always LLL. TLPOoM is the worst song on Animositisomina and I also skip RB from TLS. I didn’t dislike Supernaut back then, but that wasn’t really Ministry, was it?

this is Ministry?? you’ve gotta be kidding me…no offense, but ministry without much al vox(especially on cover songs, making it that much more removed) just isn’t ministry…supernaught and lay lady lay don’t even count, anchient history…this sucks major ass

supernaught is clearly neither version, rerecorded with al’s deff super treble ears

lay lady lay, equally badly remixed by al(although not mayb rerecorded)could his hearing be seriously any worse…oh how the mighty have truly fallen

<listens>

Yikes, this is indeed truly abominable!! Even worse than I feared.

He has sunken to new lows, hasn’t he!? I can’t even be bothered writing a MINI review - I mean, what’s the point? What the hell happened to Al’s scope for talent and ability to spot the shit from the shine? Did it disappear along with his addiction. It’s hard to fathom how he could possibly be proud of this garbage. It’s like a bunch of teenagers in a band got together over a drunken weekend and knocked out some toons! Does he think this is…MInistry? How is this Ministry?

How?

My Review:

Embarrassing. Redundant. A disgrace. Goodbye Ministry - it was nice knowing you.

Score: (1/10)

My first impression of it: worst thing that ever came from the name of ministry ever. And i’m not exaggerating to the slightest. I wasn’t expecting much, but a little surprise here and there wouldn’t hurt. Once I listen to it more, i’ll probably give a little mini-review. But until then…god!

Since I finally have the connection, I downloaded a bunch of pigface …some good stuff there.

It’s an okay album. It annoys me that so many of the songs have that same little “flipbook” drumroll sound effect from “The Last Sucker.” You know the one? I guess they were trying to Ministry things up, but that’s not a signature Ministry sound, it’s a sound from one song they did less than a year ago. I have a feeling Al didn’t take his usual month or whatever to go on a sample-collecting spree for this album.

I’m young (early 20s) and not that into rock (excluding industrial rock), so I don’t even know some of the originals, but I think I get what Al was saying about making a fun party album. When “Under My Thumb” started it sounded kind of like With Sympathy and The Last Sucker mashed together, which was entertaining. Pretty horrible misogynistic song IMHO, but it fits in with some other out-there stuff they’ve done like “Physical”. And they dirtied up lyrics (“I can still look at someone else” to “I can still fuck someone else”), a la Rev Co. I thought “Black Betty” was really fun, 'cause I like that song. The rest are growing on me- I don’t hate them. I think I prefer the new tracks on this album that have more of a humourous Rev Co. attitude, because no, there really isn’t much real Ministry here.

i pretty much agree with you, industwtrust.
its supposed to be a jokey party album and as far as that is concerned i think it pretty much lives up to expectations.
its not really a ministry album anyway. just a bunch of songs butchered by Al and friends.
not all the songs are succesful jokes but whatever.
i can imagine listening to this at a party and everybody having fun hearing it.

nobody ever said this was supposed to be an innovative and relevant piece of music like LORAH or even Psalm, stop treating it like it was! same goes for the trilogy.
