[reply][reply]I used to drink a LOT of milk

Is that why you’re so fucking tall?![/reply]

Ahahahaha! I don’t know why this is so fucking funny.[/reply]

He actually is, or maybe i was standing in some sort of ditch when i met him. Or maybe i’m shorter than i realised, but he seemed to be one tall, calcium-rich motherfucker!

I saw The Cult on Wednesday. Billy Duffy brought his A-game, Ian did not. He had a spacy arrogant doing us all a favor attitude. He interacted with the audience, but was disconnected from them. Ian missed several words in a couple different songs and lost his place in the set list (there was a long pause for him to find his place again). A friend had seen them in Minneapolis about two weeks earlier and said spacy and arrogant; he seamed dead on stage until the last two songs when he finally danced around a little.

I was chatting with the ladies standing next to me who said they caught them last year and added the comment as to how much better they were last time.

Yes, Gunnar is tall. Tall and thin.

When I was a kid growing up in the Midwest, I remember people getting home delivery glass bottles of milk with foil paper caps and a paper disc pressed into the middle of it to help keep it sealed.

I’d like to add Coil to my list, and I realized that I have also seen CC, PB, DB, etc. perform twice as Cocks Members (Retrospectacle and ColdWavesI) since the original list was compiled.

Okay, I just spent 20 seconds searching and saw a number of independents in the mid-west and such.

my mom actually still has weekly milk delivery from a local dairy farm out in NJ. so that is a thing there too.

i actually was telling a story VERY similar to your milkman story a while ago, and a few people reacted just like grumpy did. haha. so i ended up calling my mom (i live in washington so there is a 3 hour time difference) at like 4 in the morning her time to have her say on speaker phone that she has a milkman. she was… less than thrilled.

as for the milkman movie, that is actually brilliant. i am already watching it in my head. haha.

I saw The Cult the night before you did in Ft Lauderdale…Billy Duffy was absolutely the star of the show…his tone was deadly and he was just ripping all night…Ian was in fine form though…his between song banter mostly consisted of him breating the audience for toying with their stupid fucking phones all night and taking video instead of living in the moment…I applaud him for this…Ian is always a hit or miss kind of guy…always has been…I’ve seen them 14 time starting back in 89…apparently at the Detroit show he was pretty hammered and pulled an Axl and they started 2 hours late…so the usual hot or cold…both sets were great…cool to hear Electric in it’s entirety and the second set was varied and covered some good ground…killer show…

I still haven’t seen Siouxsie yet but she kind of doesn’t really tour anymore sadly. Would’ve been nice to see Interpol before they went to total shit as well.

Therapy? (1993-1998)
Pearl Jam (1991-1994)
Killing Joke
The Screamers
Faith No More (1985-1987)

The Young Gods

Godflesh

I shall cross this one off in October.

As for the others, I’m gonna keep it to shows I had an opportunity to go to.

PIG (2006) - tour got cancelled half way through.
TKK (2011) - waited til the last minute to book the hotel
Night 3 of Retrospectacle - financial aid check didn’t come in time
NIN/Bauhaus (2006) - my friend buying the tix didn’t wanna sit through Bauhaus
Ministry (2003 and 2006 w/ RevCo) - missed em in '03 cuz the people I was supposed to go with flaked on me. Missed em twice in '06 cuz I didn’t have enough to get out to SF or Sacramento
A Perfect Circle (2009) - broke
The Black Crowes (1991 or 1992) - decided to stay at home with Mom
Coal Chamber (2013) - broke
Static-X (Ozzfest 2000) - decided to watch Kittie and Soulfly instead.

I skipped Soulfly, but I saw some of Static-X’s set. They weren’t anything special from what I saw. I actually ended up really enjoying Godsmack’s set at that show. I think that was that year . . . maybe it was the next one.

Kittie was kind of fun. I don’t think they were all that great, but there was a creepy pervy vibe in the air with all these dirty horny men who were way too excited to see hot jailbait with guitars. It was weird . . . but also kind of fun.

Was this at the Shoreline by any chance? I thought they were boring. I was saving my energy for Pantera. Then I annoyed any audience member around by singing along to every song I knew.

I had met Morgan Lander before their set and she gave me a hug. Real chicks dig guys in velvet shirts similar to Prince haha. Talena, the hot goth bassist, was signing autographs too, but she was a bitch. I enjoyed their set very much.

I’ve been to 3 Ozzfests. They’ve all been in San Bernardino/ Devore, CA.

Heaven & Hell never came close to my area.

Heaven and Hell were great live…so glad I got to see Ronnie one last time before he passed…

i agree. even tho i was totally unfamiliar with dio era sabbath stuff (still am), the show was cool. iommi and butler were great (i was watching butler mostly though), and dio was awesome.

PIG played Orlando on 06/06/06. I was in Vegas for my friend’s wedding on 06/06/06. It was the last show PIG played before the cancelation.

Sonuvabitch!!! I just realized this was the other band at that gig I missed . . . . Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, Motorhead, and Testament. I’ve seen Motorhead and Testament on several occasion, and have seen both Dio and the other Sabbath dudes in various formations. But I didn’t get to see Heaven and Hell . . . . and I’ve still not yet seen Priest.

I can’t believe you haven’t seen Priest,Gunnar…surely you have had some opportunities? I first saw them on Screaming for Vengeance and then each tour after that until Halford left…saw them on the most recent also…

Saw The Cult in Atlanta a week ago. Billy was the standout, Ian obviously can’t hit the high notes anymore - and at least he doesn’t try. He was quite reserved , though. Great backing band including James Stevenson on 2nd guitar (Gen. X, GLJ). Loved hearing Zap City and Spiritwalker, though!

Been a fan since LOVE, but only saw 3 songs back in '87 when they opened for Billy Idol. 25 years later, had another chance. Great band.

“Spiritwalker” RULES!!!

Definitely The Cure
Depeche
Manson
Front 242

Definitely The Cure

I shall see them before Robert Smith kicks the bucket. Hope you’re ready for a 3 hour show.

Depeche

Saw them headline Saturday Night of Coachella '06. Dave Gahan can still grab his crotch at his age and still make the chicks go crazy.

Manson

I caught perhaps the last great Manson show in the US 9 years ago.

Front 242

Missed them, RevCo, and KMFDM at Retrospectacle 2 years ago.
