I think that’s the name of the tour, actually.

I actually met Danzig at a comicbook convention in the 90s. He’s actually a really sweet guy in person.

I think it’s a loaded proposition, though. While I’ve seen a LOT of examples of Danzig being cool to fans at the meet and greets and such, it’s a different story when someone has to work with him or for him. As long as everyone is kissing his ass and doing exactly what he wants he’s a big cuddly teddy bear. But as soon as he doesn’t get his way or someone has to tell him some bad news or something, look out.
If any of you So. CA Prongers want to rock out at the Danzig show in Pomona in April, let me know. Grumps and I should be there.

Yes! ROCK!!!
I always knew Danzig was a short little man, but kind of thought a lot of it was just exaggeration for jokes and such. But I just google’d “How tall is Glenn Danzig?” And the general consensus in the scientific community is that he’s 5’ 3".
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Shrimp.
A++++++++++ to the mothereffin’ genius that crafted this one. It’s glorious.
I would drink that scotch, even though I’m more of a bourbon man.
I know some whiskey (I think Sailor Jerry or some shit) was using the Misfits where eagles dare song in their TeeVee commercials. that was cool!

That bottle would look great on my shelf next to my Mastodon and Clutch branded beers.
I’m still trying to hook up with some MOTORHEAD beer.
Anybody else going to Danzig this Saturday? Give me or Gunnar a shout.

The Misfits set is pretty great.
Had a blast last night. Grmpysmrf drove me so I could get mah swerve on with the booziness. We got there pretty early and I wanted to buy some smokes, so I asked a cop where a liquor store was. He gave us directions for one like a mile away. Then I saw him telling another dude so I told homeboy to join our posse. So me, Mike, and Grumps hit the liquor store together and we all got ghetto booze (Nighttrain, Four Loko, Jack Daniels) which we chugged on our way back.
Mike had already gotten a pit pass bracelet for getting there early and that kind of pissed me off (the ONLY reason to be there early) but I told him not to worry as I WOULD be making my way to the front regardless.
During the opening bands (Corrosion of Conformity and some other scrubs) Grumps and I mostly loitered in the smoking patio area making friends and cracking funnies. Some bitch had a problem with me because I was rocking (as always) my Twisted Sister shirt so I informed her that she was ugly and I hoped that she would drop dead. Everyone else was cool, though, and some cute hairdresser gal said she wants me to do some “live streaming” webcast show with her or something. I don’t even know what that is, but I told her I would definitely do it. In kind, I introduced her to some female professional wrestler who had WAY too much diva attitude considering she is known by exactly NOBODY.
I bought some gals some drinks but they disappeared so I drank 3 more of something. After a few failed ninja attempts to get down to the pit by telling the guards some BS I rolled into the handicapped VIP section (snuck in with them saying I was part of their group). This was strategic for my later move as I’d eyeballed exactly how many rails/fences I would have to jump over to get to the front. And after Danzig hit the stage, over the rail I went, and b-lined it straight to the pit. I spent the show either crammed up front or slamming around in the pit.
After the show I found Grmpy and he was waiting to buy some merch. I held a door open for a staffer with a drink cart and stole some beers off his wagon.
I couldn’t tell you what the setlist was if you put a gun to my head, but it was a good mix of mostly old-school Danzig songs and Misfits stuff. The crowd was mostly great. I didn’t see any fights or troublemaking.
This is the only picture I have on my phone. The girl next to me is 17.
EDIT: I just found the Facebook page for the wrestling girl. Apparently, her name is FIRE, but from her attitude I’m assuming you all know this already.
The show was fucking great!!!
The last (and only other time) I saw danzig was halloween '94 and he was boring performer, I think he addressed the crowd once when he said “It’s good to be here tonight” and that was pretty much it for the crowd interaction. Not so last night!!
Glenn was off his ass bantering with the crowd. At one point he said “fuck the set list. what do you want to hear?” He kept asking the crowd for what they wanted to hear is was great! They played my fave Misfit tunes. Vampira, London Dungeon, Skulls. The show was just fucking great! They played couple songs off Lucifuge, from What I remember of the set list (in absolutely no order) they played Blood and tears, her black wings, Long way back from Hell, How the gods kill, (some hot little latina chick pulled her titties out for glen during that song… they were nice!). Dirty black Summer, Twist of cain, Mother, Earth AD, I turned into a martian, and (I think) Horror Hotel, Not of this world, Am I demon. I don’t think they played anything off of 4. Maybe one song off of death red but I don’t know the song titles well enough to tell you what it was. I’m thinking I’m missing a couple fits songs too. But over all that show was fucking GREAT. I would totally go again if they played a second gig here.
Doyle is a fucking BEAST. Kinda bummed I passed on the legacy tour a couple years ago.
Once Ivy (pretty blue haired girl in gunnar’s pic) sends me some more of the pics she took there will be more pics to post.
BTW if you’ve never had night train… go ahead and pass on that shit. Duff and Slash had to be really fucked up to write a song about that shit!!! blllrrrrrbbbb. yucky!
BTW, the wrestler chick was a mega bitch! she’s actually prettier in real life than her stupid promo pic. but she was so full of herself even at one point saying something to the effect of “everyone should want their picture with me I’m a professional athlete…” or some shit.

I found this pic too.
I don’t know what was up with this kid but he kept pinching my titty, haha!
A bunch of people wanted to take pictures with ME. I bet “FIRE” felt great that more people wanted pictures with Gunnar than her stupid ass. And yeah, she was a total bitch. Sally the hairdresser was so nice and told Fire how beautiful she was and how much she liked her hair and Fire just sat there staring vacantly with a look of boredom and disgust. She’s a total nobody, but she acted like the venue was more blessed by her presence that that of Danzig himself.
That’s blue hair’s husband.
andrew I think his name was.

Oh yeah, they were fantastic, really nice. Ivy (blue hair) sent me the flat stanley pic. I sent her an email tonight. Maybe she’ll email back with the other pics.

Started teaching myself blood and tears. Simple song. I’m gonna try to get the whole Lucifuge album down. That’s Danzig’s finest IMO

That song was definitely a highlight for me too. That and “How The Gods Kill” were probably my favorites of the night.
