anybody here remember bananas in pajamas?

I do, that show was borderline retarded, i’m sure kids were in some way affected by watching Bananas In Pajamas. LIKE ME!
Debbie Harry looks really fucked up in the Rammstein video.
Reminds me of this album from WAYYYYYYY back when:
hahaha. i don’t think i’ve ever seen this!
this should be in a thread titled “examples of epic - awesomeness”. man, it’s cool they did this.
thanks carmangary for sharing!
The Muppets album actually has a song on it called “Sax & Violence”. 100% truth.
i’m a rather skeptical guy.
the ministry song got thrown around before final editing as far as i know.
kinda on a tangent with my comment, but this topic just made me remember how AP used to be alot bigger of a magazine
Reminds me of this album from WAYYYYYYY back when:
Is that “Born to Add” or “Born to A.D.D.?”
Also, on a much more random note, during Springsteen’s performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, this drunk old guy I was sitting next to wakes up, looks at the TV, mutters “Piss on this asshole,” then promptly goes back to sleep.
i never quite got the appeal of bruce springsteen.
(except for right now)

Well, he does have about the coolest guitar in the world. Other than that, I’m inclined to agree.
I like some of his lyrics

He is the original author of the song “the ghost of tom joad” and I adore that song because he has captured the mood/feeling (Or how I think it would be) of being poor in the great depression. I really like RATM’s version as well because it’s the same song but it brings the feeling of poverty in a modernized society.

woodie guthrie works for me. or not.
the first time i heard springsteen i didn’t care. and now i still don’t care. not everyone wants to, needs to, has the thought to care about what springsteen has made his mantra.the “working man”, whatever. who doesn’t work for a living? i grew up working class too.
so did joy division, or fill in the blanks.i’d rather listen to them.

The RATM cover was killer, On Renegades was it? yea that album sucked, The Ghost Of Tom Joad was very good though. I read somewhere that the release of Renegades was the reason RATM broke up, Zachy D did not want that material released (probably cause it stunk).

Yes! the single came with a vhs of all of the videos and some concert footage. The only decent songs on Renegades were “Maggies Farm,” “Ghost Of Tom Joad,” “I Could Just Kill A Man,” And “Housin”
In that order.
I thought They broke up because zack was not happy with the direction of the band and the last straw was Timmy C’s stupid scaffolding protest at Mtv when Bizkit won best album or whatever. Renegades came out some tuime later.

Oh shit, i think your right grmp, either way he didnt approve of Renegades release.
renegades of funk.
best song on CD.
I’m with slacklove, renages of funk is a great song, and if you got the cd when it first came out it had tacked on at the end 2 live songs. kick out the jams live as well as kill a man live w/b-real and zen dog from cypress hill. both were fucking amazing.
I think we’re being a little too picky here with saying this was a bad cd. now the solo tom morello i can understand if you don’t like, but except for 1 or 2 songs from what I recall this was just another rage cd. But i haven’t listened to this cd in a long time so i’ll go get it out of the pile (ugh the cd pile) and give it a listen and come back and probably say i’m wrong and nevermind
