Cheers Peligro for the Andrew Chalk recommendation. I hadn’t heard his work before, it’s great. Snagged the “Ghost of Nakhodka” album and it’s tops.
enter Lull…the project from Mick Harris of Napalm Death and Scorn. his earlier stuff as Lull is more industrial ambient, but by “Cold Summer” (highly recommend that one) …it’s deep, heavy, droney material,as was all his output from that point on. I recommend his ENTIRE Lull catalog, it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
Lull. Definitely check out Lull.
Slow Fall Inward <drools>
Lull IS kinda what I’ve been lookin’ for. Snaggin’ some hopefully this week.
Youse guys. <3
Some of my favs are Harold Budd, Eno, and Lustmord. Also mid-'80s Controlled Bleeding is very ambient.
Stalker by Robert Rich and Lustmord is very nice, inspired by the Tarkovsky film.

For “scary” ambient I like Kerovnian’s From The Depths Of Haron.

I like Stalker ALOT! As far as others, i’m pretty blind. I listen to the broadrick stuff (Final, Council Estate Electronics, White Static Demon), Riceboy Sleeps, Lustmord (obviously), and Aphex. Might be a couple of others but i’m drawing a blank.
The bieber track slowed down minded me a LOT of Sigur Ros. Insane how something shitty can actually turn into something decent when slowed down to shit.
