I just ordered these . . . along with every other missing Alice Cooper album (“Raise Your Fist”, “Dragontown”, “Brutal Planet”, “Eyes of Alice”, “Along Came A Spider”, “Welcome 2”, “Dirty Diamonds”).
Sweet! You’ll have a more complete discography than me!
Do you plan to get the box sets for all the b-sides and ephemera? The Life And Crimes set has some interesting material, but the School’s Out one looks pretty useless to me unless you’re a total completist.

No, I’m not going to bother with all that minutae.
I’m not even going to bother with any live albums unless I happen to stumble across them for cheap. I don’t collect stuff anymore for the sake of collecting or feeling complete. I just want to be able to play all the music (in physical form, as I have never cared for MP3’s or downloads of the sort).
I just wanted to have all the studio albums. In truth, I wasn’t even planning on buying “Hollywood Vampires” but I saw that there was ONE Autographed copy ($19) on Amazon and just jumped on it right away. Most of the other discs were between $5-8 a piece and some come in multi-album saver packs, so it was quite easy and affordable to get up to speed really fast.
I bought the 69-83 box set in July (had a couple duplicates) but it’s crazy to think that before that I probably only owned 3 or 4 albums and a greatest hits collection.
Yeah . . . . I’m a bit fanatical about the dude nowadays.
Gunnar, did you get a chance to listen to Mr Daniel Zig’s new album yet? I’d be interested to hear your views on it. I’ve been obsessed with it, me and my bro just listened to it 3 times in a row yet again.
No, I’ve not listened to any of “Skeletons” yet (unless you count tracks leaked on YouTube 3 years prior). I’m not going to search anything out or try any samples prior to getting the CD. I’m looking forward to it. I’ll definitely compare notes with y’all once I get to give it a spin.
The new Cocksure is fantastic.
Contender for album of the year is Severed Heads’ Better Dead than Head.

I heard a track that isn’t on Skeletons as well, his cover of You Are Always On My Mind, really good!

Thanks! I just listened to it. I LOVE IT!!!
I wasn’t planning on hearing any Skeletons’ tracks, but it played “Crying in the Rain” next and that was also phenomenal. Then came “Rough Boy” . . . . which would have been a great song if Tommy Victor didn’t brutally rape it with his atrocious squeely rat farts. I hate that guy. I hate him so much.
Yeah, i really liked those tracks too, Rough Boy is one of my favourites on the album.

Hopefully Tommy will screw Danzig’s mother or forget to feed his cat or something so Glenn will make him persona-non-grata and re-record all the tracks that Tommy has ruined over the last 15 years.

I didn’t mind the squealies on Rough Boy.
But I know what you mean, every chance he has to do a pinch harmonic he’s all over it. Fortunately it works on Rough Boy. Other songs not so much.
The song that completely stands out as awful for me is Lord of the Thighs. I swear to god Glenn is flat in the beginning of the song and then monotone all through out the rest of the tune. I do like the original by Aerosmith but man, Glenn ruined it.
Crying in The Rain is definitely on point though. Easily my favorite cut of the whole record. All that said, though, I’ve been spinning the whole disc since I got it. Quality release by the man.
He should have done Rough Boys by Pete Townsend instead.
That would’ve been hilarious.
I honestly hadn’t been keeping track yet, but now that I look, here are the ones that jump out at me:
Ministry - Trax Box (of course)
Haujobb - Blendwerk (of course)
Kite - VI (Love these guys)
Chant - Brave New Apocalypse (saw them open for KMFDM and was hooked)
Inertia - Existential (They’ve had 2-3 songs an album that I really liked, but the new album is solid all the way through)
Primitive Race - Long In The Tooth (Pig)
Seeming - Worldburners (Really like these guys. Some good stuff going on)
Desaparecidos - Payola (Most of this material is a few years old, but put together, it forms a terrific album. Of course, I was unable to catch the tour, continuing in my tradition of never being able to see Connor Oberst live)
Neuroticfish - Sign Of Life (Pretty much a return to form)
Gofight - Napalm Baby (completely funky)
Empathy Test - Throwing Stones
I have realized that I have a ton of catching up to do. I haven’t really listened to the new albums from Cocksure, Agent Side Grinder, Sister Machine Gun, Killing Joke, Dead When I Found Her, Beborn Beton, Chris Connelly, Vanlight Folk, Wire, Mr Kitty, etc. All will likely be good listens, I’ve just been out of it from a listening perspective for a few months.
High-Functioning Flesh - Definite Structures
Grim - Maha
Lingouf - Œuvre Au Noir

One of the most homo erotic videos of all time…

Reminds me when in the mid 80s, Townsend went public with his switch-hitting sexual orientation…I believe the quote was and I’m paraphrasing: “Got tired of having sex with women so now I do men…” Something like that but who cares…his solo stuff & The Who still rule the earth!!!
