Haven’t seen Brown Bunny, but Buffalo 66 is brilliant.
HAHA!!! I remember it was a really strong soundtrack, but don’t know if I was ever aware that 'ol T-Rez produced it.
It was a great soundtrack! Back in the glory days of the 90’s when soundtracks were a thing (see also Singles, Judgement Night). But, this was really among the better. Most were really just compilations of songs by some tried and true unit sellers and new bands the label was trying to plug.
Also, I guess I assumed a certain level of knowledge amongst us fine prongers. NBK soundtrack, Cool World soundtrack, A.I. being common knowledge. Turbo and Rango qualifying as "Huh? Really? (Giggle).
But, just like the whole Becks dad thing, some of us remember shit others don’t or remember completely wrong.
Other soundtracks to feature Ministry . . .
“Hurt Locker” (a few tracks from RGB were in it)
“Murderball” (“Waiting”)
“Escape From LA” (“Paisley”)
Also, I have no idea if it was in the actual movie soundtrack (I never watched the film) but “8 Seconds” (the movie about bullriding around 1994) had “Burning Inside” played throughout it.
Murderball is a killer documentary.

Yeah, I loved that film.
I used to have the DVD . . . somewhere.
I can’t stand Vincent Gallo. He’s a pretentious cunt and he makes terrible art house crap. (At least used to…hasn’t been able to get a film funded in years)
Yeah, the hullabaloo about this one was the supposed blow job scene with Chloe Sevigny. It was a fake dingus.
For me though, the best part was the Gallo vs Ebert fight that came after. Shockingly, Roger Ebert gave the film a negative review. Gallo went apeshit and went off on Roger, amongst other insults, making fun of him for his weight. Roger’s response was fantastic: “It is true that I am fat, but one day I will be thin, and he will still be the director of The Brown Bunny.”
Yeah, i remember the days when people thought Gallo was hot shit, it didn’t last as long as he obviously thought it would. Just looked him up on IMDb, it looks like he doesn’t work much these days, which isn’t really surprising considering what a cunt he is.
Gallo has also released some awful and pretentious music. Don’t google it.
I love Buffalo 66 and kinda dig him as an actor for his crazy factor. But, I couldn’t tell you the last thing I saw him in.

Yeah, he certainly has enough crazy for everyone.
I love Buffalo 66
That movie was depressing as shit!!

There’s a complete run-down of that episode in the excellent Ebert compilation book “Your Movie Sucks.” Roger and I didn’t agree on everything, naturally, but when he wanted to sharpen his knives and really lay into a crap piece of work, it was downright poetic.
Feast on [url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK4Jir_Xyes]this delightful thrashing of JAWS 4 from back in the day. I particularly enjoy their questioning of the “shark’s eye view” errors…from 3:43 onwards is also great sample material.

Since watching Hateful Eight I have been incessantly using the word dingus(much to the chagrin of my girlfriend)…I hadn’t thought about that word in so long before seeing the film…

Yeah, I didn’t always agree with him either. But I did enjoy his perspective.

Those guys were brilliant.
I rarely agreed with them on anything, but I loved when they would fight and I also absolutely loved when they would have a boot party on some piece of garbage that they hated.

Here they are being entertaining by liking a film a pretentious dickhead hates.

Wow. That guy must be a blast at parties, huh?
I love that he recommends taking children to see “Tender Mercies”. Because nothing says, ‘fun family afternoon’ quite like taking children to see a film about an alcoholic has been country singer who finds love and redemption.
For the record . . . I know this movie BECAUSE my parents took me to see it. It is a good movie. I love Robert Duvall. But there’s not a 6-12 year old on the entire planet that wants to see this. EVER!!!

It’s really interesting hearing Siskel’s comments about kid’s movies. Nowadays the kid-targeted films seem to be about 90% of the menu, though back then the genre was kind of an anomaly.
Robert Duvall is fantastic, i’ve liked him in films since i was a kid, but yeah, i never did ask my dad to take me to see “the new Robert Duvall film”.
