Sin is a very decent guy. He’s also smart enough, as a working musician (one who needs the work), to know that even if you may get “screwed” in a deal or have an unpleasant experience with someone, that there’s not much benefit in blowing up bridges or talking smack about others.
New band: Sinistry.
That name is both incredibly stupid and undeniably brilliant at the same time.
They were referring to a second guitarrist. Al said Sin was NOW his “right hand” guy (previously being second banana), so Sin now gets the honor of picking the new “Sin”
I guess Ministry will be performing at a metal festival or two in 2014. If they just wanted to make more music in the studio, it wouldn’t be essential to recruit a secondary guitarist.
“he helped me fight off the book club, on the bus, 3 years”
Al needed help to fight off the Book Club? I thought they were such wimps that they got owned by 10-year-olds on a regular basis. [:|]
I love how Al is always surrounded by fat rednecks during almost any interview he does. And, although it’s been said many a time, but GOD does he look like shit!
I see there’s a Mike Scaccia tribute show on May 24th in Austin, the mighty Down are headlining, with Warbeast in support. I’m assuming it must have been organised by Anselmo’s record label, Housecore. No Ministry involvement though? It’d be cool to see Al with Warbeast or with Down, playing a Ministry track or two.
how can ministry participate? isn’t Al in rehab?

Maybe he’s planning to bust out that day.

No. There is no Jourgensen/Ministry connection/involvement.
Housecore/ Phil did not organize the event, but are basically the “heavy” for crowd draw and legitimacy by name, etc. Phil does support the event, though, and has been a lifelong fan of Rigor Mortis and put Bruce’s band (which now also features Casey) on the Housecore label a few years back.
But as far as organizing everything . . . that’s been Bruce and the Scaccia family.
These events are very heavy on the Texas metal connection. Everywhere outside of Texas, Mike Scaccia will likely be associated with Ministry. But Texas (especially DFW) is Rigor Mortis country and the spirit of these events focuses on that side predominantly. In Ministry, Mikey was “Al’s right hand man” for numerous albums and eras, but Ministry is and was always AL.
Rigor Mortis was Mike’s band, and the remaining 4 dudes (Bruce, Harden, Casey, Doyle) were and are like brothers to him. Warbeast (featuring both Casey and Bruce) are on this bill as is a special performance by “The Scaccianators” (this will be all the remaining guys of Rigor Mortis as well as some special guests whom knew and worked closely with Mikey). Rigor Mortis, as a complete band, died the same night Mike did, and no future performances or projects will be done under this name.
Anyway, I’m tired and rambling, but I hope this makes some sense.
