Al, before and after photos

Ahhh that first Predator film was grand. Too bad the sequel is an absolute turd. I feel asleep when I saw it in the theater. That and Robocop 2 go hand in hand for destroying great franchises.

Hard to believe that two future state governors were in that film. Love that first film. I’m also guilty of handing over cash to watch the sequel in the theatre!

robocop 2 destroying the franchise? what ! that one was great (NUUUKKEE!!!) you must mean 3 (robo) that and the third terminator nailed the coffin for those 2…or did it[cool] ohhh i can’t…not post about it[:)] with the success of the dark knight they are making/remaking (not clear yet) robocop with the requim(sp) doe a dream guy i was worried that they would try and do another robo pg-13 like 3 (which is one reason that movie sucks) but that director was the original for batman: year one (begins) but warner felt his vison for bat’s was too…dark[:)] also he apparently is not a big fan of CGI, which is one of the reason’s i hated the spiderman movies but this could be great the target audience is 18-34 check here if you are a fan like myself robocoparchives.com

also www.myspace.com/finalhell i need some honest crit. for my music called hardware that url is my personal one that i check and some of the music itself www.myspace.com/hardwaremusic love it or hate it i’d just appreciate someone taking a listen to it

Robocop 3 is monumentally bad, saw it in the theater when it came out mainly because it was filmed in Atlanta, and most of the punk goon extras were people I knew from the clubs. Some were bouncers that worked at the Masquerade (where I saw the Mind tour) at the time, including this large dreadlocked black gentleman who is in the end street battle. I can vividly remember Slymenstra Hymen from Gwar nearly lighting his dreads on fire at a show, and the look of sheer terror on his face.

As for Miller, its a shame he’s taken this neo con stance, it gives weight to the accusations of 300 being blatantly rascist. I recall an interview he did not long after 911 where he said he’d like to do a Batman title where he took on Al Qaeda. With real villains like terrorists in the world who has time to worry about the Joker?

They had Burton from Fear Factory singing for them at one point… IMO they are a really mediocre band though.

The first GZR album sucked due to Burton Bell being on it. Then they changed the name to Geezer and released the 2nd album “Black Science” with some young cat singing on it that Geezer’s wife poached from some other band…the “Black Science” album was superb!

Then they released another one after “Black Science” called “Ohm”, and boy that was absolute shit…it was as if they turned into some banal Nu-Metal band.

Seriously though if you haven’t got “Black Science” you should get it as it fuckin kicks ass with songs like “No5”, “Xodiak” and “Trinity Road”!!!

Re:

GZR - No, man. I’ve heard it t’ other way around that the one w/ Burton is actually the superior album - believe it or not. I recall that thing getting unanimously praised over 10 years ago.

WRONG!

Don’t believe me…download them both and find out for yourself…“Black Science” gave “Plastic Planet” and good and proper bumming!

Yeah Frank divorced Lynn, and the less said about that second Dark Knight series the better, but damn Ronin would hake a good flick.

Regarding Robocop and Al I remember first reading about Show Me Your Spine in that Thrasher interview, and was like blown away that i hadn’t even noticed it before in the credits as its like the only non score song in the film. They don’t actually play a whole lot of it in the club sequence, I don’t recall hearing any vocals at all. So of course like you said I was severely disappointed when i went to buy said soundtrack, and it wasn’t included. Never heard that song in its entirety until Side Trax. According to that interview the filmmakers wanted to use Over the Shoulder, but Warners/Sire wanted too much money for it so a side project was born to sneak a song in under the table.

franks robocop story, from what i’ve read in all those fun comic sites and faq’s was supposedly altered VERY much by the studio and the director etc.

They did a comic series based on Miller’s original script.
Apparently, it sucked too. Someone did an in depth review of it on their blog.

I’ve read the writers of the original Robocop had written a sequel that was supposedly really good but deemed “too different” by the studio. Other than Phil Tippet’s awesome animation on the Cain robot, Robocop 2 is a stinker. I totally agree that Frank Miller is to blame. He obviously thought he “got” the first movie but apparently didnt. The child villan feels forced, the tv ad satires fall flat, it just aint got the magic. 3 is indeed unwatchable but does feature ninjas and a scene where you can clearly see strings on roboflops jet pack. Fabo! Thankfully Peter Weller had the smarts to get while the getting was good. Not sure how I feel about Arnofsky remaking Robocop, cause if it aint broke dont fix it, but Im sure he could at least do something more interesting with the series than the sequels did.

One of the best things about hearing “Show me Your Spine” in Robocop is watching Ray wise from Twin Peaks dancing his ass off to it. Great stuff!

had to bring this one out again because it STILL makes me laugh! Alien vs. Predator? Er, I mean Alain vs. Predator?

haha, mortal kombat movie rawks. lol… I remember me and some friends went on a bad movie rampage, got MK and MK:Annihilation out… I remember the first being bad but watchable, the second I cringed all the way through, terrible! But I suppose that was the point of our excercise. I can’t believe they’re still making those games… not that I have played any recently, I still crack out MK trilogy on PS1, quality.
The soundtracks arn’t bad, G//Z//R r cool. never seen their album anywhere though…

GZR is a little hard to find (scour the used and independent shops as you’ll never see it at WalMart of Best Buy [duh!]). I’ve got “Black Science” and “Ohmwork”. They are both great, but I think I like “Ohmwork” better. I’ll have to pick up “Plastic Planet” next time I come across it.
