'Adios…Puta Madres' CD released & DVD 2 Preview Clips Available

Considered doing netflix and gamefly, but never saw the point since everything’s on the web these days. And if I did buy it, i’d at least feel somewhat “happy” knowing that that next bowl of ramen for the jourgensen’s is on me. Hell, maybe some kool aid for old time’s sake. Probably not buying at all this week though, as something a little better came up for saturday that’s 15 bucks and probably a little more memorable.

He answered a Craigslist “Adult Services” ad?

just rent it from netflix

For some strange reason I’d be happy to rent this thing. I wouldn’t bother burning the thing though…only really want to see the backstage stuff.

The “first 4000” copies of the DVD have a printing error with disc 1 labeled as disc 2, and vice versa. Fortunately they did put a little certificate inside that warns you about this and informs you that the misprint DVD is an official Collector’s Item. [:P]

Weirdest thing: NO chapter/song menus! WTF!

En Vivo wasn’t bad. The first song is a bit more of a “music video” collage or random clips than the rest, after that it settles into what appears to be one venue per song, so you don’t get the distracting wardrobe changes with each cut like you do on Sphinctour. There’s some nice footage of an outdoor venue in daylight. The style is still a lot of fast cuts throughout the DVD, but at least it flows in sequence. I’m not a musician and wasn’t being too picky about it, but I thought the audio and visuals (drums, guitars, etc.) were synced well enough. It was believable that I was hearing and seeing the same performance, so I don’t really care if it actually was. What surprised me about the performances is that Al appeared to sing all of the '80s/'90s Ministry songs, I didn’t see any footage of Burton (or Wayne) singing anything. A minor disappointment is that the backing videos on stage were under-utilized, I enjoyed watching them when I was at the show but you don’t get to see much of them on the DVD (and the outdoor venue didn’t even have any).

Fuchi Requiem was just pointless. These guys have absolutely nothing interesting to say. Who wants to hear from 5 different members of Ministry how “cool” and “nostalgic” it was to have a fence on the stage?
