What are you listening to right now?

I was wondering what everyone down at prongs is jammin out to these days.

As for me
KMFDM - Sucks

Our music is sampled/totally fake/its done by machines cos they dont make mistakes…

and so on and so forth.

At the momment i’ve got all of Akron/Family’s albums on my MP3 player.

Yesterday i scored the ultra rare (only 1000 presses!) first album “To Whom It May Concern” by Freestyle Fellowship on vinyl. I also scored Niggy Tardust on vinyl too.

I’ve currently got the “Butterfly Potion” single by Foetus playing with a mix of '89-'92 Leaether Strip.

Current track: “Go Fuck Your Ass Off!”

Also happened upon Cleopatra’s 4-disc “Goth Box” used for eighteen bucks the other day. While I hate how Cleopatra decides to make money (with endless compilations and tribute albums), they’re pretty much the only ones keeping stuff like old Executive Slacks, Flesh for Lulu, Ausgang, 45 Grave etc. tracks in print.

Jesu / Envy split
PTP - Rubber Glove Seduction (and Show me your spine)
NIN - Year Zero (i am getting into this retro-actively)
The Who - Who’s Next [double disc edition] (teaching myself ‘pure and easy’ from the bonus disc)
Iron Maiden - S/T (feeling a bit NWOBHM)

and last but not least:
Gridlink - Amber Grey (11 songs, 12 mins; like all good grindcore should be. SHORT)

Looks like the terminator soundtrack is next on my list of things to track down. As a huge Carpenter/Zombi fan I’ve gotta snag this one. Im betting thats scored by Brad Fiedel who did the excellent synth score for Fright Night (great movie btw).

Currently listening to

2. We Versus the Shark- Dirty Versions
3. Teargas & Plateglass - Black Triage
4. Slug - The Out Sound

Yea i like Seabound also. I got Beyond Flatline with my favorite tracks being Torch and Watching Over You. I have to check out this Edge of Dawn u speak of.

If you are a fan of Carpenter, Zombi, Rush, prog, spacey music, old synths, vintage arcade games etc. seek it out. I give this soundtrack and unreserved recommendation.

Zombi! Saw them twice at a tiny bar downtown. Good times. Carpenter movies have the best music hands down.

I’ve been listening to:

Cold War Kids
Ghostland Observatory
TV on the Radio
new RevCo (I admit it’s growing on me already)

Sex-o Olympic-o (not that bad, odd huh?)
Patton
KMFDM Extra, Vol. 1 and 2
242: Moments and everything else.

Boyd Rice.
Whitehouse.
Consumer Electronics.
Meat Beat Manifesto.
Meshuggah.
Earth Wind Fire.
John Tropea.

Today it’s been An Uncertainty Principle by gasgiant (beautiful postrock type music) and Limited Edition by Damage Manual. After gasgiant I’m going to listen to Cure for Pain by Morphine.

Devin Townsend’s Ocean Machine project Biomech.
